No matter where the CARH staff travels, our most productive meetings and exciting conversations always seem to happen over a shared meal, and our time in Germany last week proved no different. Manakish, lasagna, apple strudel, brats and potato salad, cold sandwiches, cups and cups of coffee and hot tea – what we consumed was delicious, but how we connected with others during those meals was so much more fulfilling.
In the span of a few short days, we were able to meet and get to know some extraordinary folks who are committed to the exhausting, day-in and day-out work of ministering and caring for people no matter where they are. Between passing plates and pouring cups, we heard story after story of how God is moving in that area, and we had the chance to share the passion and goal of CARH – to connect short-term teams with people being the hands and feet of Christ all over the world.
Over the next several weeks, we will be unpacking and processing all that we saw and heard on this scouting trip, and most importantly, we will be praying about what comes next for CARH. In the meantime, you can pray with us as we seek God’s will for our next steps.
