For Muslims worldwide, the month of Ramadan began this past Sunday and will last until July 5th. Muslims who observe Ramadan commemorate their belief that the Quran was given to Muhammad in a revelation. As one of the Five Pillars of Islam, Ramadan is observed every year and incorporates a time of intense fasting from dawn until sunset. Typically during this time, Muslims fast from food, liquid, smoking, and anything that would be considered sinful. Throughout Ramadan, Muslims will also frequently recite the Quran and increase the number of prayers they offer daily.
Many of our partners around the globe minister to Muslim people. As they diligently serve within the Muslim world, lift them up during this season. Keep our partners in your prayers and ask that they will be daily reminded of just how powerful and miraculous it is that God sent His Son to earth. Pray that God would provide opportunities during Ramadan for His Word to be shared and for the Gospel to shine through. Pray that Muslims worldwide would come to know true revelation in Christ.
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” – John 1:14
